Making Elegant Custom Tables is the 2003 Golden Hammer Award Winner for Best How-To Book. Sponsored by the Vaughan and Bushnell Tool Company and the National Association of Home Workshop Writers, the 2003 competition featured books by most of the major woodworking publishers. These are the table designs featured in the book. Jean's Cherry Dining Table expands with center

Cottage in Eureka Springs. The Limestone Top Hall Table is made with cherry
and native Arkansas limestone and is shown in our home. The Dovetailed Cherry Hall Table is made with
angled hand cut dovetails. It is also shown at #2 Cottage in Eureka
Springs. My walnut Victorian Tea Table is made with
tapered sliding dovetails. It is shown in the lobby of the Palace
Hotel and Bath House in Eureka Springs. The Recycled Redwood Deck Table is made with
pocket screw joinery and uses wood salvaged from an old porch. It
is shown on the porch at #2 Cottage in Eureka Springs. The Maple and Elm Pedestal Table is made using a shop made cylinder lathe. It is shown in a friend's home outside Eureka Springs. These are scanned Polaroid test shots that were done prior to exposure of the real film images that will be used in the book.
